From the collection Dr. David P. Chandler on the site http://papaintellivision.com/
The documents herein regard the Mattel Electronics Intellivision project ranging from its inception in 1977 until the end of Chandler's involvement with the company in 1983.
These documents, dating from February 27th 1978 to September 13th 1978, mostly contain papers relating to the compliance with health and safety concerns by the Federal Trade Commission regarding video game systems. Pages 3 and 4, dated July 26th 1978 and August 2nd 1978 respectively, speak about the Sander's Associates patents in regards to Magnavox under the header of “Video Entertainment System”. Mattel would unsuccessfully attempt to avoid paying a licensing fee for these patents.
