he reminds me of the fairy-like dark lords from the private gamer area of CCC just that his color-code is more minimal.
then I saw him playing live. at an event organized by virtual slap in bei roy e.V. or bei ruth mh minimal set up - a very authentic contemporary performance somehow and it sounded really good and made sense. boy sitting there with a "desktop computer" half on the chair half on the run - and moving a mouse to make sound come out.
next time I saw him playing at OHM for a more Techno oriented night he organized. (mh i m not into Techno) his set was very different - parts remained ~ other parts became more concrete as a reference system.
made me think again of the complex i have noticed with interest since a while where musicians coming from noise or abstract art music experimenting with club-music* - *more interesting --->most of them will reference "Techno" music in one or the other way. I wonder why?
or was it the other way around? I can never really tell.
told him afterwards that I m very interested in that phenomena & the uncertainty/ hesitation around it. mh maybe there is some hope for Techno ; )
I lately see how "Techno" imported from outside of Berlin is becoming again interesting as Techno-music or within a Techno music context. - and i like it - not necessarily performed live I must say - cause it can still be a bit stiff and young or fresh. but online and with some post production the concept starts to become alive again as a very potential strategy to bend reality . this feeling still leaks into the actualisation of a live performance - so i trust it.
He answered "I actually like the most when I can just dream away never finish a story just jump in the next one and drift away with my sounds."
Kellergeschichten that's how I got to know him in bei ruth or Draveng when I saw him again at Ohm. He is one of these Techno-interested outsiders who impressed me more than most of the new internet friends living here.
And he came by to make a radioshow - sliding on his chair & track-padding.
