Based on the Devuan 'Beowulf' branch, alpha version, for testing  Probably in summer of 2019 the Devuan beowulf branch becomes the new 'stable' (when ready)  Till that time, testing and feedback appreciated, also opinions about what to include or not, choice for Desktop environment etc... would be very welcome.  I chose for Devuan as a base (instead of Debian) because AFAIK the new expected Debian 'stable' (buster) doesn't give the choice anymore to boot without systemd.  Custom repository:...

Want to get it going quickly, and the easiest way will be to use the Bamarni Pi64 Debian-based aarch64 distro:

For the moment Obarun is only available for x86-64 architectures. Systemd replacement is made by S6 supervision suite as init and...

Taking @666philb's configuration files for xenialpup as a starting point (with many thanks)  ZestyPup is a Woof-CE 32-bit pae build using Ubuntu Zesty Zapus (17.04) components.  Kernel is 4.9.50 (LxPup build) and requires a separate fdrv to provide firmware.  The included lightweight web browser is light-48.0 in a separate adrv - the following more heavyweight browsers work:  chromium_61.0.3163.100+pepper_27.0.0.130_lx.sfs  firefox-56.0-lxsc.sfs  ZestyPup is a more "traditional"...

Miyo - is simply an acronym for "make it your own". Primarily intended for users with older hardware, MiyoLinux is a very minimal and base system that allows users the freedom to add the software and applications that they want or need without having to remove the ones that they don't want. It's your choice to decide what goes on the system in order to make it your own. Based on Devuan and by utilizing Openbox, the system is ideal for (but not limited to) older computers with limited...

Easy is a "new paradigm" for a Linux distribution, a blend of the best ideas from Puppy and Quirky, and a fundamental rethink of the security, maintainability and ease-of-use. A good way to explain what Easy Linux is all about, is to follow the user (that's you) experience, from downloading the deployed file, to installing and discovering it's features. To start, you would go to one of the websites hosting Easy Linux and download it... Download Unlike most other Linux distributions,...

Quirky is a "quirky" Linux distribution created by Barry Kauler, that forked from Puppy Linux a few years ago. The original intention was to experiment with new ideas, and Quirky has evolved into an exciting and unique distribution. SlaQ 8.1.6 The predecessor Woof2 had been used to build Puppy from Slackware packages, the most famous of these being Slacko, created by Mick Amadio. Slacko continues to this day as one of the official Puppy builds, created via woof-CE. woofQ required a...

Devuan_Mate_Minimal, my current project involves making a minimal installable live image of Devuan with the Mate desktop environment, a hybrid iso that can be run as a livecd and installed from the running livecd environment. It was built from a Devuan "jessie" netinstall, the first one is i386 with a 64 bit in the works next. It includes only the Mate desktop environment and utilities, and is intended to be a minimal system that the user can build from the ground up with their own...

Xenialpup64 built with woofCE testing  4.6.3 kernel  qt5  vlc  ffmpeg  palemoon  deadbeef  hexchat  samba  and all the usual puppy stuff.  this is the first stable-ish 64bit build. it's pretty huge though at nearly 300mb! i hope to trim some of that but it'll still be quite big i reckon. quite a few of the ubuntu libs have grown a lot...for instance the libperl package in tahr was 2-3mb and in xenial it's 20mb!  more details...
