KFOG-FM was a legendary Adult Oriented Rock (AOR) station in San Francisco, CA. KFOG was the honorary successor to KSAN and KMPX, it launched in Sept. 1982 on 104.5 and later simulcast on 97.7 in San Jose. Dave Morey and Rosalie Howarth were the voice of KFOG for many years, familiar voices to Bay Area "fogheads", as loyal listeners were known. KFOG hosted and broadcast many concerts on their "Live From the Archives" show, included some posted on this site. These excerpts...

One of seven live Grateful Dead concerts at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco. Broadcast live on 7/18/76 on KSAN 95 FM, San Francisco CA. FM radio broadcast of Linda Ronstadt from the Record Plant in Sausalito. Broadcast live on KSAN-FM, San Francisco CA. Not one of the tighter live shows from KSAN, this is more reminiscent of the early days of "underground" FM. On-air host Richard Gossett cuts in over Linda's rehearsal and sounds like he's a bit spaced out. I was a DJ on KFJC-FM in Los Altos Hills, CA in 1978-79. This is an aircheck of one of my radio shows from that period. The photo is of the infamous KFJC record pit - we had no CDs in those days, only vinyl LPs and 8-track "carts" for our public service announcements.
