One of seven live Grateful Dead concerts at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco. Broadcast live on 7/18/76 on KSAN 95 FM, San Francisco CA. The Dead had not toured during 1975 or the first half of 1976, so they were on the road for only 6 weeks before this run at the Orpheum. I attended 2 of these shows and wrote about it in my column "Dead Ahead" for BAM Magazine. My BAM review is included in the liner notes for "Dave's Pick's Volume 18", which is the 7/17 show:...

Live concert performance on 2/21/79 by the Police at Hatfield Polytechnic in the UK. Broadcast on BBC FM and also BBC 2 TV. Includes "Roxanne", the Police's #1 hit released the previous year. Our KFJC Program Director had to set a restriction in 1978 on how often the song could be played daily, as it was overplayed early on the radio.

I was a DJ on KFJC-FM in Los Altos Hills, CA in 1978-79. This is an aircheck of one of my radio shows from that period. The photo is of the infamous KFJC record pit - we had no CDs in those days, only vinyl LPs and 8-track "carts" for our public service announcements.
