Elizabeth Hage writes to Mrs. [Lenore] Truit, Walcott library station attendant, saying that she has enclosed a list of the books that are now at the Walcott library. She explains how the list is broken down by genre, and the order in which the books should be kept. Ms. Hage remarks that the newspaper got some good photos at the Walcott open house the previous week, and refers to an accident. She reports that the photos and article should be in the November 16 Sunday edition of The Democrat.

DeWitt Bragonier, LeClaire Town Clerk, writes to Elizabeth Hage, Librarian, to inform her that the Library Account with the town of LeClaire is overdrawn by $4.42. Ms. Hage responds that she had previously asked him to sign a county claim form to reimburse the town for a purchase of $9.40. That would have balanced the books. The form was returned unsigned and no check was issued to reimburse the expense. A check in the amount of $4.42 has now been enclosed to cover the overdrawn account.

She writes that the headquarters will soon have an open house and hopes that they "might get a spread in the Des Moines Register."
