Correction for Poppy
Carbon monoxide is never caused by a gas leak. It is produced only by improper venting of the exhaust of burned gas. It is in short a product of combustion. You can die from a leak or get blown up if the gas accumulates and is ignited but there will be no carbon monoxide until the gas burns.
