Have you ever felt like an outsider – like you don’t belong
– like you aren’t part of the in crowd. There are times when being an outsider
may be held as a badge of honor. Like when a person is an outsider because they
refuse to follow the crowd. Usually though, being an outsider is considered a
negative thing. I don’t like to be excluded. I do not like to miss out.
What’s worse than being an outsider to a group of people, is
to be an outsider to the workings and blessings of God. Though we were created
for fellowship with God, each of us starts our life as an outsider to God. God
offers to turn this around. By grace he takes people were spiritually dead and
makes us alive. By the same grace, He changes outsiders into insiders. Listen to
our recent sermon to see how.
