authorities came to the rescue after a bald eagle got wedged in a car. florida crews responded after the driver said it flew in front of him and got stuck. after a bit of maneuvering, the eagle was free and sent to a wildlife sanctuary. >> charges are expected to be filed tomorrow against a man charged with fatally shooting two palm springs officers. they were responding to a domestic call when the man opened fire killing two officers and wounding a third. police say he has a history of arrests and could face the death penalty. last night, a vigil was held to honor the two officers killed. 63-year-old jose vega waw a 35-year veteran and father of eight just two months away from retirement, and 27-year-old leslie returned to duty after giving birth just four months

officer was released from the hospital. >> five vermont teens are now dead and an unknown number injured after a deadly crash. it happened after police say 36-year-old steven burgeon traveled in the opposite direction on i-89, ultimately colliding with another car. that car burst into flames, killing the five high school juniors inside. a police officer arrived on the scene. as he attempted to put out the flames and help the victims, state police say the car and went away. he drove in the wrong direction and crashed the cruiser into seven other vehicles. he was ultimately ejected from that police cruiser shortly before it burst into flames. he has been taken into custody by police. >> two missiles were fired at a u.s. navy destroyer off the coast of yemen sunday evening. it used onboard defensive measures and both missiles
