school are scrambling to find decorations for their homecoming dance.. after someone burglarized a students car.. stealing over half the decorations. "i stood here literally [for] two minutes in shock! just looking at the floor, looking a like, anybody that can actually steal something that's for homecoming dance for our school. it's just like, it's pretty sad." the thief took five bags of halloween decorations.. worth around 700 dollars. this happened near simmons and lone mountain. heather rojas filed a police report.. but says mainly.. she just wants her school to recover from the loss. if you want to help the school get new decorations .. students have set up a gofund me account.. you can find the link on our web site at fox5 vegas

"xanny" was donated by lauren sokolowski. the horse will be used to help local kids feel more confident. the "why ranch" is a non-profit organization.. that helps students socialize through horse therapy. the ranch also takes in horses that need homes. white horse youth ranch is really to inspire confidence through compassion and what that is is teaching children the leadership, confidence, self esteem all through leaning horsemanship." taking in another horse means a lot of expenses for the ranch. they are always accepting donations. what's a scarier halloween

construction areas to look out for and alternate routes listed on our maps back to the news desk following the state senate's vote last night to approve the las vegas raiders stadium deal.... we are anxiously waiting to see if the state assembly votes the same way. fox5's alyssa deitsch joins us live in studio with some mixed reaction... alyssa. yeah.. and it's not just people reacting-- although we're seeing plenty of that-- it's also entire entities reacting. you can tell by some news headlines how many feel about the potential raiders move to las vegas. for example...

the road by eastern and flamingo. it happened on monday afternoon. a man got out his car, a woman got out of hers.. they start getting pushy. it then escalates to punching. metro tells fox-5 both drivers were armed.. one with a knife, the other a crowbar. the woman put the man in a head- lock a couple times.. before the man lifted her up and threw her to the ground.. some bystanders tried to break it up, but that didn't help. the man eventually just got back in his car and drove off. the incident is under investigio morning. a woman is carjacked... right in the driveway of her henderson home... the entire thing caught on the home's surveillance camera. ""i just think its a shame. you cant come and go from your own house? or your friends house?" " it happened monday night... at the home near warm springs and valle verde. the victim says the man walked up to her as she got out of her car--- pointed a gun at her face-- and asked her if she valued her life.

school are scrambling to find decorations for their homecoming dance.. after someone burglarized a students car.. stealing over half the decorations.
