pamphlets in the mail... fox5's miguel martinez valle joins us now with some of the mail our newsroom staff has collected over the last few weeks... guys, this pile is heavy... i mean there are hundreds of pamphletes and signs and mailers here... and i know we aren't the only ones getting them... actually i know that for a fact because i walked around some neighborhoods today seeing if others were dealing with all of this...

be a factor. scott coffee says he's still reviewing police reports from saturday's shooting on the highway... that left one person dead. kenneth mcdonald was arrested a short time later at a c- v-s-- where he's accused of waving two guns, pulling his pants down and demanding a sex act from a female employee. mcdonald is due back in court on monday. an accidential shooting leaves a child-- critically injured... possibly paralyzed. police say-- over the weekend shaltrese townsend - was home with her kids and left a loaded 9 milimeter beretta unattended. she told police the gun was on a chair in the masterbedroom where she was doing one of her kids' hair and left the room for a bathroom break. that's when the gun went off a neighbor says the family just got the gun for protection after a recent robbery. " :if so meone robbed me or my wife, id expect her to get protection the same way and just a sad situation that the

but the gun was there to protect the family" it's unclear if the girl shot her self or another child inside the home pulled the trigger. townsend is due in court on monday. in a story you'll only see on fox5. we've been following a fight between a canyon springs student and an administrator for a week now. we've reached out to the school district multiple times but they're still not talking about this video. the only thing they did say is that the man... assistant princi isles"-- has been removed from the school... but is still working in a seperate office building. now... multiple lawyers have gotten involved and the girl's mom is still furious. "she was thrown like a rag! then he got on top of her and laid there and pressed her face after it had already hit the concrete." lucenda's daughter suffered various injuries from the slam-- including a concussion. the mom says police are sending the case to the district attorney's office.

plead guilty to a misdemeanor battery case stemming from an april incident at aria. police say neil assaulted a woman who tried to get his autograph. today, his lawyers tell us he's ready to put this all behind him. " obviously he has business to attend to, he has tours he has been performing on, he has a large fan base. that is why we are pleased to put this behind him and get him focused on other things in life. this pile of ads was collected right here at fox5 within the last few weeks... there have to be hundreds of political ads here... hundreds... but whats more suprising is exactely how many ads total the company i spoke to says they ship a day. a and b printing is one of the biggest if not the biggest printing agencies in las vegas... they shp ads, posters, signs all over the south west ... but a lot of them stay right here in southern nevada... where they are delivered to our homes daily so we can get to know who's running for local office and of course be reminded of the big presidential candidates. the general manager gave me a tour today and he told me they've been preparing for election season all year. a package is stolen right off the porch of a valley home just moments after it was delivered... and it is all caught on the home owner's security system.
