for your complete weather information. here is additional forecast information from the kwwl stormtrack 7 weather team: temperatures are actually warming up a bit this morning... back into the upper 30s to low 40s over most of the kwwl they will be mainly around 15 mph but gusting to 25 mph today before dying down this morning... that will continue today with mild temperatures, too... aiming for the low to mid 60s this afternoon. we cool down for veterans day, though as a cold front tracks through. i'll have that forecast for you in a few a big story this morning: five poeple shot outside a store in seattle. it happened near a demonstration where people were protesting the election of donald trump. but police say it does not appear the shooting was connected to the protest. officers say four men and a

two are now fighting for their lives this morning in the hospital. police are still looking for the shooter. the protest in seattle is one of many across the country. thousands taking to the streets in cities like chicago, new york and kansas city. people are yelling things about donald trump -- like he's not my president. tracie potts tells us today -- the president-elect gets his first look inside his new home. "it is time for us to come together as one united people." extraordinary image many thought would never happen: billionaire - now president elect - donald trump and his wife melania... side by side with the obamas at president says his transition team's been preparing for for the last year. "liberation not deportation." others are asking -- how can we come together -- after the election. a group in dubuque is trying to do that by holding an open country. "it's easy to stay home, it's courageous conversations about what's really important in life. and these are issues in a time, in our history, in our culture, where if we don't start having these conversations, then our country is going to continue to be divided." this brewery hosts this conversation on the second wednesday of every month, and it's open to the public. a rocky ride for investors evens out after the election. we've been watching the markets closely since tuesday night as the votes were coming in. several financial markets in asia rallied in early trading this morning. stocks rebounded more than two-

direction, the better." a different direction, but we don't know the specifics this morning. during the campaign, trump did call for a tax deduction for health insurance premiums after repealing the law -- but there mexico's foreign minister says they have no plan to pay for a wall at the border. that was a cornerstone of the some people standing in line to cross over from mexico said they didn't think a wall would be much of a deterrent for those trump's hollywood star is being fixed and will soon be on display again. a protester damaged it last month. the man was charged with felony vandalism. tuesday night's election helped shrink government in one part of eastern iowa. right now, the linn county board

with a supervisor representing each one. this week, voters elected to cut that down to three. "you'll have cedar rapids centered board and people who live out in the rural areas, they've lost their voice, they've lost their representation." he believes some voters may not like the salaries they make. each bringing in more than 100- thousand dollars a year. the changes to the board will come in 20-19 --- during their next election continuing coverage this morning... shots are fired as children walk near downtown waterloo. there were at least six bullets in a home where neighbors say at least two young children live. across the street --- one bullet hit a home -- just feet from where a "scary! well, we live here so is quite a thing." "but it is happening all over, so. i said to russ, we could sell,

targeted. out of the hospital and in custody. a minnesota man arrested after a deadly crash in eastern iowa. officers arrested charles brooks. he's being charged because of a crash -- early saturday morning in cedar falls. police say he was speeding when his car ran into a minivan. cynthia brooks -- from waterloo -- died in that crash. the cars involved in that crash -- have since been destroyed in a fire. coming from the fire -- which burned through a cedar falls evidence storage building sunday morning. police say everything inside the building was lost in the fire. we know when an iowa man will be sentenced for a crash that left several students hurt. monte klink pleaded guilty. authorities say he tested positive for meth after the crash. court documents show he was driving an s-u-v near manchester last year when he didn't yield to a west delaware school bus. the

klink could face up to 10 years in prison. he'll be sentenced january 18th. two people are in the hospital after a plane crashed in florida. this was the second plane crash in that area yesterday. two people were killed after another plane went down earlier in the day. here's video of that scene. the plane crashed into a field. the pilot and the passenger died. the f-a-a and n-t- s-b are now looking into it... trying to figure out why th a courtroom turns upside down. a brawl broke out. police told a man to leave after he barged into a courtroom during a hearing. he demanded to speak to the judge. he was told to get out. he didn't. officers wrestled him to the ground before arresting him. a special treat for some of the youngest survivors of an earthquake in italy.

few days. we won't see much changing, although we may have a few more clouds for veterans day tomorrow as a cold front tracks through, but there really isn't a lot of moisture with it. it is mild this morning... we are already warmer than this point yesterday and continuing to climb a bit... mainly in the upper 30s to low 40s in the viewing mid 40s to the west. southwest winds are starting to pick up and are already pretty strong to the west... they will stay gusty all day today from the southwest, but ass the front tracks in tonight, the winds will turn to the north. there isn't a lot of moisture anywhere in the midwest with mainly

talk about a sweet homecoming. the u-s-s new hampshire returned home to connecticut. sailors reunited with their loved ones... including one who proposed to his girlfriend. they talked about what it's like to be back. "interesting times over seas but it's nice to be back home where that i want to plug-in." the submarine travels about 46- thousand miles. that's equal to almost two trips around the world. you expect to see a lot of things in traffic. just not this. an ostrich relaxing in the middle of the road outside tokyo. it apparently escaped a breeder's truck. it took police about 40 minutes -- and several tries -- before they finally
