RIGHTS
On Feb 20, 2006, we received permission for shows to be hosted at the Archive. This general section is for various Melvin Seals gigs including "Melvin Seals and Friends" (prefix msf or mseals), "Melvin Seals' Melting Pot" (prefix melpot), "The Mix" (prefix themix), "Avalon Allstars (prefix aastars). There is a separate section for Melvin's post-Jerry JGB work; please do not upload any JGB to this section. There is also a preexisting section for Terrapin Flyer, with whom Melvin has played.

I play in the band Melvin Seals & Friends and I spoke to Melvin about archive.org. He'd never heard of it. I asked him if we could add this band to the archive and he said that yes we could do this. Let this be notice of formal permission to have Melvin Seals & Friends shows uploadable on the archive.

I spoke to Melvin Seals about allowing his material to be on the archive. He said that he would allow anything that does not violate any copyright restrictions. So let this be notice that archive.org may post any material by Melvin Seals that does not violate copyright restrictions such as JGB (with Jerry Garcia). Any show with Melvin and not Jerry Garcia like "Melvin Seals & JGB" is acceptable to publish. Also, any of his other projects such as "Melting Pot" or "Melvin Seals & Friends" is fine to put up.
