Short version of a 5-hour long collage of different lo-fi cassette recordings, done on the 20th of October 2013.
The Story of the âVoicesâ: In the fall of 2012, I bought a box of used cassettes at a flea market. Two of them turned out to be tapes from an answering machine. They included endless monologues of a man begging his wife or girlfriend to call him back and to forgive him, concerned messages of friends and relatives and demands of a finance authority. The tapes are difficult to date, but with regard to some of the formal messages, I assume that they are at least 20 years old. I dedicate this recording to the owner of the cassettes and hope that everything turned out well.
