{Fighting is prescribed for you & ye dislike it.
But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you
& that ye love a thing which is bad for you.
But Allaah knows & ye know not.} (al-Qur'aan; 2:216)
{Fight those who believe not in Allaah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allaah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they're) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission & feel themselves subdued.} (al-Qur'aan; 9:29)
{Let those fight in the cause of Allaah Who sell the life of this world for the hereafter. To him who fighteth in the cause of Allaah,- whether he is slain or gets victory - Soon shall We give him a reward of great (value).} (al-Qur'aan; 4.74)
Narrated Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه):
The Prophet ﷺ said, "The person who participates in (Holy battles) in Allaah's cause and nothing compels him to do so except belief in Allaah and His Apostles, will be recompensed by Allaah either with a reward, or booty (if he survives) or will be admitted to Paradise (if he is killed in the battle as a martyr). Had I not found it difficult for my followers, then I would not remain behind any Sariya going for Jihaad and I would have loved to be martyred in Allaah's cause and then made alive, and then martyred and then made alive, and then again martyred in His cause." (Bukhari)
Narrated Anas bin Malik (رضي الله عنه):
The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: "Nobody who enters Paradise will (ever like to) return to this world even if he were offered everything on the surface of the earth (as an inducement) except the martyr who will desire to return to this world and be killed ten times for the sake of the great honour that has been bestowed upon him." (Muslim)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“For the Shaheed in the Divine presence (of Allaah) there will be six qualities:
[1] he will be forgiven from the first moment his blood is spilled;
[2] he shall see his seat in Paradise and be protected against the punishment of the grave;
[3] he shall be safe from the Greatest Terror [Day of Judgement];
[4] he shall be crowned with the diadem of dignity, one ruby of which is worth more than the entire world and its contents;
[5] he shall be coupled with seventy-two spouses from the wide-eyed maidens of Paradise (al-Hoor al-‘Ayn);
and [6] he shall be granted to intercede for seventy of his relatives.”
(Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal & Sunan at-Tirmidhi)
Narrated Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه)::
The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: "One who died but did not fight in the way of Allaah nor did he express any desire (or determination) for Jihaad died the death of a hypocrite." (Muslim)
