Crabbe & St. John - Comic Shadow of a Western
Buster Crabbe (Billy Carson) and over-the-top comedy relief sidekick Al St. John (Fuzzy Jones) in half a western, half a St. John farce. Crabbe comes to Red Rock to clean up a bad guys type problem - the town barber, Sheriff and Justice of the Peace are all St. John - and if you can buy that, you can live with any kind of absurd western action. Charles King, every cowboy hero's favorite punching bad leads the bad guys, with Frank Ellis and others as henchmen. Donna Dax provides the pretty face here - IMDb says she almost died in a 1932 car accident but went on to appear in 6 movies between 1941-46 abd is credited only in this one. Nothing great here.
