Description: KCRA-TV reporter Stan Atkinson speaks with Manson Family member Susan Atkins (1948 - 2009) while incarcerated at the Central California Woman's Facility in Chowchilla, California in 1978. Atkins, along with fellow family members, were charged for the murder of actress Sharron Tate and others at her home at 10050 Cielo Drive in Los Angeles on the evening of August 8, 1969.
At the time of Atkins' death in 2009, she was California's longest-serving female inmate.
