region overnight - and wreacking havoc. in southeast dc the gusts were so strong, they actually blew the roof off of one apartment building. you can see the pieces lying in the road there. this is on bruce place. no one in the building was hurt - but they were forced to spend the night in shelters. most of the area is still without power.
