morning. >> reporter: we have sunshine early, but clouds will get thicker. 27 degrees in philadelphia. 23 in allentown. so pretty cold up there, 24 in reading. if you're heading to the poconos we're 19 currently and low 30s across central south jersey and delaware, upper 30s down by the shore. there's a wind rolling through the region at 8 to 16 miles per hour that's enough to give you windchills to make it feel like 16 degrees in philadelphia currently and just 11 in allentown. upper 20s down the shore. everybody is going to want coats this morning because of the combination of temperature and windchill. as we roll through the day, 28 degrees by 9:00. 34 by noon, 37 by 3:00 p.m. dropping down from a high of 38 this 38 will hit at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., 34 degrees. we have a winter weather advisory in the poconos tomorrow and wednesday morning. this is where the snow will occur, the rest of us are
looking at rain. i'll show you that on future tracker 6 coming up in the seven day. >> reporter: a little bit tough to get going on a cold monday morning after an eagles loss, but we're feeling good about the traffic. i-76. the westbound ramp from spring garden to the schuylkill expressway remains blocked. also shut down this morning in frankford is arrit street because of a building fire. no problems on the boulevard or i-95. vine street expressway looks good. in clementon we have a downed pole blocking off the white horse pike near higgins avenue
near francey d's pizza. let's go back to the fire you just mentioned because we have breaking news on that from the frankford section of the city. a firefighter was injured battling the blaze on the 1200 block of arrit street. the fire broke out at 1:00. you can see how wild and hot the flames were. flames destroyed an abandoned apartment building there. the firefighter suffered a minor injury and was treated at the hospital. this is breaking this morning, police in burlington county, new jersey have a gruesome mystery on their hands. their search for a woman, found her dead in the trunk of a car. we broke this story at 4:30 a.m., our katherine scott is live in maple shade. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, tam, so far the age and the name of the victim have not been released by police, investigators are questioning
somebody at this time. no arrests have been made. there's crime scene tape circling the area in maple shade. police were concentrating around the white car on route 38. the investigation has taken authorities to the olney section of philadelphia where police are on the scene serving a search warrant at a home that is somehow connected to the case. police are hoping to find evidence that could help in the investigation. they were combing the scene in maple shade overnight. the investigation began late last night when family members of the victim called police. we are told they were worried about the woman's safety. police traced the location of the car through an on star tracking system. it brought them to the quality inn. the woman's body was found in the trunk of the car. investigators are questioning the driver of the vehicle who knew the victim, no charges have been filed. this remains under investigation, we'll remain on the scene and let you know any updates as we get them. katherine scott channel 6

coastal low to form. there's precipitation off the coast of the carolinas. it will be close enough to bring us rain, that's the good news, bad news it's a lot of rain and wind, too. in allentown, chilly, high of 35 degrees, coats all the way there. down the shore, 47 degrees, winds and cool with the clouds on the march today in atlantic city and elsewhere down the shore. in philadelphia we'll go for a high of 38. increasing clouds this afternoon, windy and chilly. winds running northeast 10 to 20 miles per hour. that wind you're feeling occasionally this morning making you hunch your shoulders it's going to be with us all day today. we roll through the day, 20 by 8:00. 34 by 11:00. 37 by 2:00. the high of 38 is around 2:00, or 3:00 p.m. after midnight we'll see the clouds thicken and eventually rain arriving.
by the time we're on the air on "action news" in the morning, storm tracker 6 live double scan will be tracking rain and downpours moving in from the south. you can see how the heavy rain plows through, this is the noon view, but 3:00, 4:00, we see the heaviest bands lift up to the north. by tomorrow evening there will be wrap around showers, the heaviest stuff is in the morning and in the afternoon hours. heavy rain, 1 to 2 inches total. some areas could get 3. we're dealing with gusty winds from the storm passing close by and coastal flooding is an issue. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, today's high 38. brisk and chilly, clouds on the increase. tomorrow, heavy rain, windy, 44 degrees the high. mostly cloudy on wednesday, 43, the lingering shower is possible. thursday upper level feature comes through, high of 42. we could see showers, some of them might produce wet snow, it will not accumulate. it's not going to be much.
