Although there are closed-form solutions for calculating the Probability of False Accept (PFA) and the Probability of False Reject (PFR) of normally distributed measurement errors, there lacks solutions for non-normal distributions. Extending our knowledge to measurement errors that do not follow the normal distribution is beneficial to lowering the risk of having a high PFA or PFR.
