Device of the Società tipografica bolognese on t.p. (female allegory of Bologna). The 2nd emblem is Bocchi's port. (A3v). Mortimer notes that Giulio Bonasone's engravings after Prospero Fontana and Parmigianino are repeated from the 1st ed. of 1555 except for no. 36 which is a copy. Agostino Carracci may have engraved no. 1, which in the 1555 ed. is a woodcut; he retouched the others, the occurrence of first and second states varying from copy to copy.
