Distorted Living: Self Portrait in the Time of COVID. This image came from a class assignment at COD, but as I began to draw, I realized it expressed my demeanor as I begin to move out into the world. My eyes are focused to be sure, I am moving in a safe environment. My mouth with teeth-bared and clenched (it's a good thing they can't be seen under my mask). Where is the welcoming smile and laughing eyes of the original photo this image was drawn from? I'm a 67 year old who is FINALLY getting a...

This little desk has withstood the test of time and has been extremely useful during these stay-at-home days. Lightweight and easy to move around, it has been in my family for over 80 years. My first memory of it was at my paternal grandmother's house, where it was used as a dressing table. It was passed along to my family next, where my eight siblings and I put it to good use during the course of our growing up years. My youngest sister, who passed away in 1981, laid claim to it in the late...
