3D model of a baked clay tablet from ancient Mesopotamia (current-day Iraq), from about 2,000 BCE. This small tablet (approx. 2.5cm x 2.5cm) is incised with cuneiform script on both sides. The first line appears to read "3 liters of first rate beer". This 3D model was created with a David (now HP) structured light scanner from the original, held by Middlebury College Special Collections. ADAI Collection The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Institute Library at the University of Washington was founded in 1973.
