School children on a field trip to Mack Nugget's farm save the lives of eight turkeys in this poem based on The Night Before Christmas. The incomparable Dav Pilkey adapts Clement Moore's classic Christmas poem to tell his wacky Thanksgiving tale. The day before Thanksgiving, eight boys and girls take a field trip to a turkey farm. "The Jedi have been decimated in the Great Purge, and the Republic has fallen. Now the former Republic Commandos--the galaxy's finest special forces troops, cloned from Jango Fett--find themselves on opposing sides and in very different armor. Some have deserted and fled to Mandalone with the mercenaries, renegade clone troopers, and rogue Jedi who make up Kal Skirata's ragtag resistance to Imperial occupation. Others--including men from Delta and Omega squads--now serve as Imperial...

Before she has a chance to answer, the mystery man vanishes, only to be found dead the following day. U.S. Deputy Marshal Gideon Fox's first glimpse of the ravishing beauty was like a mystical vision. But when Lorelei Russell identified herself, the lawman in Gideon kicked in--this woman was wanted for murder! He'd have to tame his fierce attraction until justice could be served. For her part, Lori couldn't believe the injustice of it all. Falsely accused, apprehended by a hard-hearted marshal and, the most unfair part--how her body rebelled every time Gideon was near, making resistance to her...
