The mic was taped upon the FX rack of the mixing island.
That rack is 1,8 meter high, and stands next to the soundboard on the right
side (as seen from behind the desk). About approx. 16 meters from the stage.
Because the mic was not exactly in the center of the P.A., I pointed it
slightly to the left.
A big thanks once again to Radwan for making this recording possible.
The 2nd (and first full-length) show from this tour.
A good solid show with some real funny & sharp dialogue by Efrim & Co..
Two new songs (Tr. 1 & 3) were played and this is the first recording
to surface that captures them.
The sound quality will not disappoint you fans.
The audience was dead quiet (during the songs), and the line array
P.A. system sounded excellent and very 'direct' through the whole hall.
No cuts, mic obstruction, data compression or any other shortcomings
here that occure on many audience recordings.
I mastered the recording with Multiband compression, EQ and Limiter
VST plugins (see http://www.uaudio.com/products/uad-plug-ins.html)
which made the recording sound more 'alive'.
I hate it when a recording sounds processed and unnatural,
and so I always attempt to use these tools tastefully and only if required.
If you like this, make sure to hear my other ASMZ recordings as well.
Especially the Luxembourg one is an exceptional show/recording.
My girlfriend who loves their music dearly regards it the most
magical ASMZ show she ever heard.

Subject: My old review didn't do justice, so I'm writing a new one.
These live performances turned out to be so good that I don't even listen to the actual 13 Blues album. I would like to point out the little jam session at the beginning of "1,000,000 Died" that didn't make it onto the album version but later became part of "Metal Bird." Even the older songs, like "Take These Hands and Throw Them In the River", are transformed beyond what I could have imagined. Although I've gotten into the whole SMZ archive, this show still stands out as one of the best, both performance-wise and in clarity. To Prof Stoned: you're really building a reputation for yourself. I look forward to more of your bootlegs.
P.S. "Music belongs to everybody -- but not in some Apple iPod televison commercial kind of way. Not in the way that Bono would say music belongs to everybody. But in the true way." - Efrim
Subject: don't listen to with the lights out...
before 2 minutes rolls around on the first song, you may find yourself scared to death. i'm not joking around, be weary of the demonesque sounds escaping your speakers. they are not harmless. seriously some intense musical achievement here.
5 stars all around.
Subject: Amazing Recording
Thank you very much for the recording. It is of brilliant quality and I appreciate you putting it up.
Subject: Intense and emotional
Subject: Wonderful! Again!
The recording sound is excellent (as always), and I must outright say it again: thank you!
This has probably one of the most touching versions of "Mountains Made of Steam" I've heard. It's so delicate...
Thank you! A thousand times!
Subject: always on top !
The 2 very new songs are very good, even though some parts are a bit long. They both remind me the silver mt elegies tour (Eric was on drums, too) : a hard sound, dirty blues (We Want Some Action), dirty sadness ... both are still very touchy.
Anyway we can expect SMZ to change them a lot during this tour. And "Mountains made of Steam" might be their best track ever, whatever version you hear.
first song's name is : thirteen blues for thirteen moons
Subject: Great Performance/Recording
Love the new songs, especially "We Just Want Some Action!". Parts of the second half of that song even kind of remind me of Led Zeppelin.
Saw them yesterday playing the same set. Second time I've seen them and they blew me away once again.
If I'm not mistaken Efrim said a different name for "We Just Want Some Action!" Unfortunately I didn't catch what it was. It sounded like it started with the number 13, even though that would be a slightly strange choice with "13 Angels Standing Guard 'Round the Side of Your Bed" already out there.
