Birmingham-Southern College

Birmingham-Southern College is a four-year, private liberal arts institution founded in 1856 and affiliated with the United Methodist Church. We are the premier liberal arts college in Alabama and one of the top liberal arts colleges in the country. BSC is a result of a merger, in 1918, between Birmingham College (earlier known as the North Alabama Conference College) and Southern University. This collection reflects the scholarly and recreational life of our students through our history.
