The Holy Ghost is the Uncreated Will of God. His devout servants cannot honour Him better than by making their wills uniform with this Divine Will. This Will of God was our Lord's normal rule of conduct when on earth. He says: "I do always those things that please Him;" and again: "Not My Will but Thine be done." By willing what God wills we come to have "the mind of Christ," and being joined to the Lord, have one Spirit with Him. THE TRANSLATOR. Digitized by...

"This little book is a translation, the only one from the Latin, of the Preces Gertrudiance, a manual of devotions compiled in the seventeenth century from the Suggestions of Divine Piety of St. Gertrude and St. Mechtilde, nuns of the Order of St. Benedict. Of this work Alban Butler says, in his life of St. Gertrude, that it is " perhaps the most useful production, next to the writings of St. Teresa, with which any female saint ever enriched the Church." Care has been taken to...

"It has long been felt that the publication of a complete and authentic collection of the prayers and good works to which the watchful and beneficent generosity of the Roman Pontiffs has attached indulgences, would be very useful, not to say necessary, since the last collection, or Raccolta, neither appeared to be free from imperfection, nor, what is of more consequence, contained all the indulgences granted up to the present time. Now, it is very important that the faithful should know...
