Description: Scolinos (03/28/1918 - 11/07/2009) coached collegiate baseball at Pepperdine from 1946 to 1960 and at Cal Poly Pomona from 1962 to 1991. Some of his accomplishments include: second most victories of any NCAA Division II coach (1,198); leading Cal Poly Pomona to three NCAA titles (1976, 1980 and 1983) and six California Community College Athletic Association (CCAA) championships (1976, 1979, 1980, 1983, 1985 and 1988); served as the pitching coach for the 1984 Olympic baseball team; inducted into the American Association of Collegiate Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 1974; and a three-time NCAA Division II Coach of the Year.
