Filmed in 1968, this is self-described as a 22-minute "televised Christmas card from the campus at Pullman."  The film combines winter campus scenes with Christmas songs from the Washington State University Madrigal Singers, the University Brass Choir, and the University Concert Choir.  It was filmed by WSU Television student cameramen, produced by Burt Harrison, and directed by Michael McNamee and David Miller.  It is held at the WSU Libraries' Manuscripts, Archives, & Special...

Complete version of a 1981 promotional video celebrating Washington State University. It's narrated by WSU alum Keith Jackson, and the song is by Bruce Innes (incorrectly noted as Bruce Ennis in the credits). This was digitized from a 16mm film held by Washington State University's Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC) in their unprocessed university films collection. The football game depicted here is apparently from Saturday, Sept. 27, 1980, in WSU's Martin Stadium. The...

Enoch Albert Bryan's history of the Washington State College is a cornerstone of the University's history. Bryan served as President of the University from 1893 to 1916 and returned to teach Economics and Economic History in 1923. Bryan first covers the beginnings and organization of the College in the 1890s. His narrative then moves on to development and expansion in the pre-World War One period. His book then covers the "new regime" of post-1918 development on the campus and the...

From the 1951 two-album "Songs of Washington State College" set, as originally performed by members of the Washington State Music program. The video was created from stills and clips held at WSU's Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC) as well as at WSU's Photo Services. WSU DTC (Digital Technology and Culture) intern Cate Hall digitized the music and created the video for MASC.

This short silent film shows ski team students ski jumping on WSU (then WSC)'s campus, with the jump located approximately where the elevator behind (north of) the CUB is now located.  The film is believed to be from the late 1940s. The original film is held in the Washington State University Libraries as 16mm 52082, and was digitized in 2011 at WSU's Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC).

Silent color film of cheese-making at Washington State College, probably in spring of 1959. This would have been filmed in the Ferdinand's creamery / dairy, then located in Troy Hall. The video is a couple minutes out of a 30-minute 16mm b-roll film held in WSU's Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (ua349b12n01). It may have been filmed for use in the "This is WSU" film which was produced within the next year or so.

This short silent black-and-white film shows the groundbreaking for Washington State University's CUB (Compton Union Building), held on at noon on Sunday, May 29, 1949. That year's commencement ceremony was held 90 minutes later, explaining why everyone is robed. Among those present are state governor Arthur Langlie, college president Wilson Compton, and Jim Warren, chairman of the College Union Promotion committee. In the background can be seen the old water tower located to the east, and the...
