this is my first live recording so i was really excited before the concert. i spent much time building the pair of binaural stereo mics and the battery box. in addition to recording the concert i also wanted to get a copy of the limited LP 'how strange innocence' they were going to sell there so my heart beat heavily. after waiting 45 minutes to finally get into the venue i went to the stage and searched for the store vainly. thus i went back to the lobby and bothered someone who just wanted to go into the band's room. he told me the store will open soon and will be located to the right of the stage. i went there to wait for him but he didn't show up too soon. since i also wanted to record the concert i went to the toilet to put on my mics. when i came back he sold the record to me which made me feel kinda relieved. later members of the band showed up. my friends made me go for their signatures. i was sort of rigid while trying to talk to the band with my poor english. i didn't know what to think, ask or talk but they were extremely nice so i managed to get them all sign my record. after the concert the band went to their room. since i made myself jerk-like enough i didn't dare to ask them wether they want to get a copy of my recording or not. anyhow.. i'd like to thank them for their tremendous concert..
about the recording: sorry for the weird frequency fall at 16khz. i bought 20khz microphone capsules so i have no clue what caused this. also i didn't record in long play mode or something like that.
nevertheless, the recording came out amazingly good which makes me feel kinda proud. hope you'll enjoy it and be sure to see them live sometime..

I found that boosting the mids helped solidify the guitars. The lowend, in the 125 area, was muddy, so pulling that out a bit helped tighten things up. Throwing in a little in 32 just extended the bass to the basement, but very subtely. The high end is nice as is, so that got left alone.
This setting sounds nice on my AKG K240 headphones...since I listen at work, I can't really verify the sound on other systems.
I'd also like to have seen some basic limiting to bring up the overall volume, so that I don't have to reach for the volume knob everytime i go from another track to one of these, and back. Fortunately, again, iTunes allows you save volume information, but I prefer to have actual waveform compression rather than volume adjustment.
* to save iTunes EQ's, you need to make a preset (set your settings in the EQ window and then hit Make a Preset... from the drop down menu), and then apply it in the Options tabs of a song's Info window. Then, the EQ needs to be on. When the song starts playing, the song's individual setting will override the current EQ setting, which will be reapplied on the next song that does not have a stored EQ setting. One of these days, though, I'll get around to remastering the audio files themselves in Peak so that my computer doesn't have to do extra processing.

The sound quality of this bootleg is pretty cool.
Thanks for that.
I have filmed this show at that night, and its cool to get the concert in a better audio quality.
Subject: sounds like a 1 hour tune up...no thanks
