Instead, it focused on gameplay instructions and hidden "Easter eggs" relating to games that its readers might have already purchased. More commonly known as the best game in Microsoft's Windows Entertainment Pack series and one of the most innovative games ever made for any system, Chip's Challenge was actually first released by Epyx in 1990 with little fanfare. The game even has a neat plot for an action game: Chip is a love-starved nerd who's desperate for a date with Melina, a fellow nerd (nerdette?). To prove that he's worthy of her attention, Chip must go through dozens of rooms to get to Melanie. Unlike a typical puzzle...

Thank you for taking a look at Prairie Dog Hunt for Windows. I think you will find it to be a most entertaining game. If you have ever played that Whack a mole game at an amusement park then you should enjoy WinDog. Basically, prairie dogs pop up out of their holes and you shoot them. Sounds fun doesn't it? But it's much more than that.

One of the most historically important artifacts to come from the home computer telecommunications revolution was shareware CDs, compact discs put out by companies containing hundreds of megabytes of shareware. Initially containing less than the full capacity of the discs (600mb, later 700mb) these items eventually began brimming with any sort of computer data that could be packaged and sold. As material "ran out", that is, as sellers of these CDs found they were unable to easily find...
