An eclectic collage of mostly unidentified music and sounds supposedly presented by those legendary KPFA music directors Harry S. Truman and John the Baptist. Some of the music heard can be tentatively identified as jazz pieces by the Phil Yost Trio, Chick Corea, and Benny Goodman, others seem to be by the Senufo peoples of Ivory Coast, and the pygmies of Burundi, as well as at least one and possibly two excerpts from Lou Harrison’s “Pacifika Rondo”. The program ends with an ambient sound...

This film was found in the basement of a vacating business in Rochester, New York in 2004. The decomposition of the emulsion, combined with the vivid color and movements of the carnival rides, creates a beautiful film reminiscent of the work of filmmakers Peter Delpeut and Bill Morrison. Also available on the DVD "Living Room Cinema: Films From Home Movie Day, Vol. I"

I grabbed a clip I had with some music in it, and I processed it through the program. It's a great feature to use if anyone has AE available to them. For our Rain series, a sci-fi inspired ambient opus, recorded as a live radio session by Grove of Whispers. About the album: Inspired by scenes in the Bradbury Building from the movie Blade Runner. Performed on stillstream.com October 24, 2012. Done live using midi controller, hackintosh and personal field recordings. Music fashioned using the buddhalizer --a virtual extension of my imagination. Grove of Whispers is John Tocher. John does the Sadayatana podcast and plays live several nights a...

This is the sound of my friend's windchimes, and the lovely situation of us, and her Guide/Assistance Dog hanging out in the garden and listening to them. This is a quiet neighbourhood on the outskirts of Carrick, so you can just hear a bit of someone digging nearby, the birds in the trees and the swelling of the wind as it passes over. We shared some nice moments standing there, my friend smoking, the chimes chiming, the dog sniffing the recorder, and the sunshine shining, with just the...
