Charlie Chaplins 53rd Film Released July 10 1916 The Vagabond was a silent film by Charlie Chaplin and his third film with Mutual Films. Released in 1916, it co-starred Edna Purviance, Eric Campbell, Leo White and Lloyd Bacon. This film echoed Chaplin's work on The Tramp, with more drama mixed in with comedy. The story begins with Charlie, playing music to raise money, and instead finds the abused girl (played by Edna) living in a gypsy camp. As in The Tramp, he works on finding a way to help...

An unsold TV pilot from 1963 called "The Plot Thickens". Same concept as the early 1950s series "Crawford Mystery Theatre" (of which only a single kinescope survives...anyone able to upload it?). In this pilot, a panel is shown a short film about a crime, and then has to guess who the guilty person is. Features Groucho Marx as one of the panel members. Could someone please check that this is public domain?

An episode of "Make Room for Daddy". In this episode, Danny and his wife try to avoid yelling at their children. Originally broadcast 20 March 1956, this copy is complete with original commercials for Dodge cars and Pall Mall cigarettes. (note: I believe this show is public domain, but I might be wrong on that. It wasn't registered with the copyright office until the late-1980s, so I believe the registration is invalid, but I might be wrong on that).

The films' often-skewed visions construct an American history filled with horror and hope, unreeling in familiar and unexpected ways. PANORAMA EPHEMERA focuses on familiar and mythical activities and images in America (1626-1978). Many creatures...

In November, 1940, the newly completed Tacoma Narrows Bridge, opened barely four months before, swayed and collapsed in a 42 mile-per-hour wind. There were no casualties except a dog trapped in a car stranded on the bridge. A rescue was attempted (by the man with the pipe), but the frightened animal would not leave the car. The site was declared a National Historic Landmark to discourage relic seekers and salvage operations. This file is a composite of the good quality Internet Archive file and...

Episode Three of the 1958 British television series "H.G. Wells' The Invisible Man". Not really anything to do with the Novel, the series is a fantasy-espionage series - like Danger Man or the Avengers with the added invisibility gimick.
