The King of Conformity, John Sutherland, made several very entertaining corporate sponsored films that rigorously defended the status quo. As you watch these, marvel at how The Way Things Are is also supposed to be The Way Things Should Be.

Like its precursor Name Unknown (1951), Girls Beware is a trilogy of tragedies brought about by teenage girls' attempts at independent behavior. Covers do's and don'ts in the babysitting situation. Develops the problem of the 'PICK UP' and the girls who go with boys that are too old.

This is a "road show" from 1938. There is no director credited. For a few years in the late thirties, "nudist colony" movies were quite popular on the "sexploitation" circuit. Notice that the girls featured with bare breasts are quite attractive, more so than average people who might be in the colony. These are probably models and aspiring actresses brought in for the movie only. As one producer of the time put it, "If you are going to make a nudist colony...

The Film follows a reporter (Davee Decker) as she infiltrates a nudist colony in the hopes of exposing its immoral ways. However, once there, she finds herself enjoying it a little bit more than she anticipated. This Film was extremely controversial in 1961 today, films like this are considered to be curiosity pieces.

Nice little film from the late 1950s. A young woman goes to clean up the attic. Apparantly a bit warm she strips off to reveal a lovely body. Then she spots a tiara and puts it on. She then finds a robe and sits on an old chair. The fantacy is complete, she is now the attic queen. Quite a nice idear for a short black and white film of the era. Please enjoy.

Rare 1949 episode of the TV series "Captain Video and His Video Rangers". The show is about a "Space Captain" and his "Video Ranger" who must the galaxy from the evil Dr. Pauli. . The show was live, which would explain the missed cues. Most episodes are presumed lost. The series was never liked by TV critics, though proved popular with children. Later seasons had improved writing. However, as corny as the show was, it did prove influential on later series....

Episode "Murder, PH.D." of the classic 50's TV series "Rocky King, Detective", which ran on the DuMont Television Network from 1950 to 1955. The series was broadcast live, and it's believed most episodes of the show are lost. The show got decent ratings and generally good reviews, and is among the better DuMont Network programs.

A classic commercial for the United States version of the Ford Falcon. Aired circa 1966. This automobile, being a "compact", isn't among the best looking of the era. Regardless, the video is watchable and has good picture and sound.

The Doolittle Raid, April 18, 1942, was the first air raid by the United States to strike the Japanese home island of Honshu during World War II. The mission was notable since it was the only time in U.S. Military history that United States Army Air Forces bombers (16 modified B-25B bombers) were launched from a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier on a combat mission. The raid demonstrated that the Japanese home islands were vulnerable to Allied air attack, and it provided an expedient means for U.S....
