Crazy House is a 1943 comedy film starring Ole Olsen and Chic Johnson as Broadway stars who return to Universal Studios to make another movie. The mere mention of Olsen and Johnson's names evacuates the studio and terrorizes the management and personnel. Undaunted, the comedians hire an assistant director and unknown talent, and set out to make their own movie. Financed by an eccentric "angel" ( Percy Kilbride ), the completed feature is set to premiere when angry creditors confiscate...

A stick figure fictional biography of Joseph Goebbels, the infamous reich minister for propaganda 1933-45. Little attempt is made to expose the real horrors of Nazism or Goebbels' hate-driven personality. Instead it's more likely to induce giggles thanks to Wolfgang Zilzer's ham-fisted performance in the title role, which portrays Goebbles as little worse than a liar and vindictive rejected lover who abuses power. A romantic subplot only indirectly related to Goebbles takes up almost 1/3 of the...

This print is much sharper and cleaner than the existing IA copies. Another outstanding suspense thriller from Hitchcock's British years. If it isn't as popular as "The 39 Steps" or "The Lady Vanishes," it's probably because it's mounted on a smaller scale than those well-known classics. It also has a plot element some audiences found disturbing. Based on Joseph Conrad's novel, "The Secret Agent." Directed by Alfred Hitchcock. UK release 1936. US release 1937....

Have you ever seen a B-western so ineptly produced its title card was misspelled? Well you have now. This is the complete 83 minute version which is much sharper and with a smaller download file than the 80 minute print already here at IA. The Hitchcock touch is readily apparent in this highly entertaining romantic thriller spiced with dashes of wry humor. Good cast and good FX with convincing miniatures. Another military themed movie, made during the 2nd World War, so it's a little on the "gung ho" side. This is a little different from the other copy that is available, here. The opening title music has been restored and the hiss, pop, crackle has been cleaned from the audio. When a wealthy man is murdered at a costume party, each of the guests must be considered a suspect. This film has Lamont Cranston, aka The Shadow, and was the only one that showed him with the power to cloud men's minds, to make himself unseen. It has the look of a TV show, and is reported to have been conceived as a series pilot. The makers decided to release it as a movie, to be shown in theaters, instead. None of the characters from the radio show, other than Lamont Cranston, appear in this story. It's most fun when he uses his mind clouding ability to vanish.

Naval battle sequence from "Old Ironsides" (1926);  starring Charles Farrell, Wallace Beery, Esther Ralston; set in the War with Tripoli circa 1804. The action is overly-hyper and brazenly inauthentic, yet here and there some small but nice historical touches interspersed amid the Hollywood-brand chaos and riot.
