1949 directed by John English starring Gene Autry and Champion, Sheila Ryan, Frank Richards, Hank Patterson and Jay Silverheels.   Gene gets angry when he discovers sheep from the nearby Indian reserve are trampling around his cattle land, but when he rides over to confront them he discovers their plight, (they're poor and hungry), and aw shucks, he’s just got to help them out.   This puts him into conflict with some seedy individuals who are taking advantage of the Indians.   Singin,'...

A real curiosity in the Buster Keaton canon: “The Misadventures of Buster Keaton” was a theatrical film cobbled together from episodes of “Life with Buster Keaton,” a very-early ‘50s US TV program. In it, he portrayed the owner of a sporting goods store who moonlighted as a community theater’s “managing director, leading man and star.”  “Misadventures” was released apparently only in Europe, as a means to capitalize on Keaton’s continuing popularity there. Many of the...

This is a fun adventure movie.  Airplanes, bandits, pretty girl, comical sidekick...  The copyright owner failed to renew, and it's been pretty widely copied and republished.  This copy is a re-edit of one that I found on this site.  I removed some damaged frames, cleaned up the audio, and replaced the crummy title cards (Alpha Video) with something that is a better match (better, not great).  Eva Gabor is in her prime and very easy to watch. This film has Lamont Cranston, aka The Shadow, and was the only one that showed him with the power to cloud men's minds, to make himself unseen. It has the look of a TV show, and is reported to have been conceived as a series pilot. The makers decided to release it as a movie, to be shown in theaters, instead. None of the characters from the radio show, other than Lamont Cranston, appear in this story. It's most fun when he uses his mind clouding ability to vanish.

A north woods adventure loosely based on Jack London's story, "That Spot." It nominally stars Grace Bradley and Michael Whalen, but it's Mantan Moreland, Louise Beavers and Smoky the Dog who steal the show. Directed by Howard Bretherton Released in 1941 Complete print (there are a few missing frames) Free movie links for Mantan junkies: https://archive.org/post/1006776/the-mantan-moreland-list-update

The Shadow - 1933.  This is not the shadow that "knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men;" this shadow is a blackmailer, and the bad guy. It stars Henry Kendall, Elizabeth Allan, and Felix Aylmer.  More information can be found on the IMDB website, if you're into all that.  As for me, I just like watching old movies! The source for this upload can be found elsewhere on archive.org.  I cleaned up the audio and decided to share it back to this site.

This is Lamont Cranston, aka The Shadow; and he knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men. This is a GOOD Shadow movie; although he doesn't seem to have the power to "cloud mens' minds." The print is in good shape. It stars Kane Richmond and Barbara Read. More information can be found on IMDB The source for this upload can be found elsewhere on archive.org. I cleaned up the audio and decided to share it back to this site.

Sally Rand stars as a nightclub performer whose police detective father is murdered. She determines to use her wiles to identify the killer, and see him brought to justice. The source for this upload can be found elsewhere on archive.org. There was a lot of noise, which made it almost intolerable to watch. I cleaned up the audio and decided to share it back to this site. The audio portion of Sally Rand's bubble dance was too poor to be recovered. It was a medley, beginning with a portion of...

This print has slightly improved video and much cleaner audio without any of the dialog-masking noise in the other print here at IA. It also has a smaller video file in the standard MP4 format. FROM IMDB: This film was fairly closely based on the real-life murder of New York showgirl Dorothy "Dot" King in March 1923. Like the character of Miriam King in the movie, the real Dot King was both a perpetrator and a victim of blackmail, and was having simultaneous affairs with at least two...

A man is held captive by island natives who believe that his daughter has stolen a pearl belonging to their idol. This is a five reel truncated 1922 Realart print of the Houdini mystery missing a large chunk from the middle of this originally seven reel production.
