The original game of backgammon for the first 2nd-generation console of 1977. Players take turn rolling dice and then moving their pieces around the game board. Blue & Red each have to move all their pieces off the board to win, and are competing against each other and against lady luck herself. Acey-Deucey is another way to play Backgammon where the starting position is different. Instead of starting the game with numerous pieces arranged at places around the board, you start with all your...

Custer's Revenge is a controversial video game made for the Atari 2600 by Mystique, a company that produced a number of adult video game titles for the system. The player character is based on General George Armstrong Custer. The game was first released on October 13, 1982, and has received significant criticism because of its crude simulation of a rape of a Native American woman. In the game, the player controls the character of Custer, depicted as a man wearing nothing but a cavalry hat,...

Produced to bring the 1956 G.M. Motorama to audiences unable to see it in major cities, this fim introduces the new 1956 cars, Frigidaire's "Kitchen of Tomorrow," and the electronic highways of the future. G.M.'s "dream cars" of the 1950s, including the Oldsmobile Golden Rocket and the turbine-powered Pontiac Firebird II, are also displayed. One of the more self-consciously surreal films in our collection, Design for Dreaming often looks like a Hollywood musical. A...

"Family Spirit", 1940s (or earlier) French hardcore stag film with emphasis on fetishistic whipping, spanking and lots of other stuff. The many explicit sex scenes had to be cut in order to keep this on the Archive. This film is part of a series I'm posting on vintage fetish films, not porn. Story: A blond girl caught watching a couple having sex is harshly spanked and whipped. She gets revenge by having the brunette bound and whipped, then she has wild sex with the guy. However, the...

Public kissing was greatly frowned upon during the uptight Victorian era, when this scene was produced in Thomas Edison's new glass-topped studio in New York City. As a result, the movie was banned in most areas (which of course, only made it more popular). Sadly, the two lovers have come down through history as unknowns, but their behavior is most familiar. In their day, this popular sport was called "sparkin'" if it took place inside (usually in the parlor), or "spoonin'"...

''Pasta for War'' satirizes a 1930's propaganda newsreel. It begins with fresh pasta marching towards the podium. There, the Great Dictator orates. A young recruit envisions formations of dive bombing bow-ties flying above columns of ravioli tanks, while he wades through marinara sauce to battle against utensils at the bottom of the sink. The realisation that he may die ends his fantasy, but his comrades march ever forward, to their impending doom - a towering pot of boiling water.
