Violated Paradise is a Japanese "pearl diver" movie from 1963. It could be considered a romance, travelogue, "nudie cutie" or mondo film. A young girl from remote northern Japan travels to Tokyo in hopes of becoming a geisha. In the end she becomes an ama (traditional topless pearl diver), and marries a male diver. Although this contains mild nudity, it is presented more as a cultural documentary than as exploitation. It presents an interesting picture of 1963-era Japan....

THE WHISTLER You're walking alone on the street at night, but then you hear another set of footsteps and a haunting tune being whistled by an unseen stranger. Fritz Lang used an similar premise in his 1930s German movie with Peter Lorre playing M , a psychopathic murderer of children. But the American radio series was even creepier. The unseen Whistler didn't kill anyone (that we know of), but he certainly loved watching murders take place, narrating them for us, and chuckling at the suffering...

This film is "the story of reproduction". It makes use of many shots of nature and animals along with illustrations of flowers, fish, chicken and cow reproductive processes in order to finally explain human reproduction. The male's role in the human reproductive process is distant -- implied through the similar process that occurs among the animals. Ultimately, the joys of reproduction can be looked forward to in the bond of matrimony. Ocean tides puppies eating Close-up of a cow's...
