A wonderful book with 5 timeless French fairy tales magnificently illustrated with 8 beautiful and dramatic full page color and many black and white drawings by Virginia Frances Sterrett. "Done when she was only 19 years of age, this was Sterrett's (Chicago born) first book, and she is often referred to as the 'female Kay Nielsen'."

This one is the perfect recipe for a fun film. A cat that gets into a still making homemade beer, in the prohibition era. The print quality is excellent, from an excellent quality.  8mm print from the old Thunderbird Films. No bad reviews, or hate speech tolerated. This fil , I know I posted it before, perhaps in another format, but this one is so funny , it is worth posting again , Enjoy, "Kick" with Milburn Morante, A Reelcraft Comedy

Several prohibition agents display cans and bottles of seized liquor for the camera. They are then shown dumping the goods at a junk yard, smashing up the tins and barrels seen earlier. The contents flow into what appears to be a lake of illegal hooch, and a few Negro residents are seen stealing some of the alcohol out of the battered leaking tins.

Black and white silent film with piano score released as a news reel in 1922 by Selznick. There is no title frame for this film or no closing titles for this film. In short this is a film about the use of child labor and the changes that were being made to change the lives of children at the beginning of the 20th century.

This is the most commonly available version of The Phantom of the Opera. It is a re-edit of the 1925 version and originally had a synchronized sound score. It is a DVD rip from the milestone edition, with the man with lantern sequence edited in. It is the best available print of the film from the UCLA film and television archives. The soundtrack is Symphony No. 8 in B minor, best known as the "Unfinished Symphony". It is not the best soundtrack for the film, but I was unsure whether...

This is what audiences saw on September 6,1925 at the Astor Theater in New York City. This version is seldom seen and contains material that is different from the 1929 re-release. This print is from The Milestone Edition, the score is Mozart's 40th and 4th symphonies and Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 8 in B minor. Directed by Rupert Julian, Edward Sedgwick and Lon Chaney.

Mary Stafford sang blues primarily in the club circuit, but she also cut a dozen sides for Columbia in 1921 (she was the first black woman to record for Columbia). The full title of this piece is "I'm Gonna Jazz My Way Right Straight Through Paradise". It was recorded on March 7, 1921. The label credits "Mary Stafford and Her Jazz Band", but some sources I've seen credit Charlie Johnson's Orchestra with the accompaniment.
