In this first film version of William Shakespeare's classic pastoral comedy, Sir Laurence Olivier stars as Orlando while Elisabeth Bergner is Rosalind, his secret admirer who disguises herself as a boy in order to stay near to him. Nearly all of the actors involved had performed the work on stage previously, adding to the stellar overall performance. A particular highlight is Olivier's magnificent delivery of the famous "All the world's a stage..." monologue.

Sita is a goddess separated from her beloved Lord and husband Rama. Nina is an animator whose husband moves to India, then dumps her by email. Three hilarious shadow puppets narrate both ancient tragedy and modern comedy in this beautifully animated interpretation of the Indian epic Ramayana. Set to the 1920's jazz vocals of Annette Hanshaw, Sita Sings the Blues earns its tagline as "the Greatest Break-Up Story Ever Told."

This is a fun adventure movie. Airplanes, bandits, pretty girl, comical sidekick... The copyright owner failed to renew, and it's been pretty widely copied and republished. I removed some damaged frames, cleaned up the audio, and replaced the crummy title cards (Alpha Video) with something that is a better match (better, not great). Eva Gabor is in her prime and very easy to watch. This is not great cinema. The action takes...

This romp, has many enjoyable twists and turns, and is, at times, quite...

This print has slightly improved video and much cleaner audio without any of the dialog-masking noise in the other print here at IA. It also has a smaller video file in the standard MP4 format. FROM IMDB: This film was fairly closely based on the real-life murder of New York showgirl Dorothy "Dot" King in March 1923. Like the character of Miriam King in the movie, the real Dot King was both a perpetrator and a victim of blackmail, and was having simultaneous affairs with at least two...

Taken from Wikipedia Musical comedy set on a mysterious island where scantily clad warrior women hold all the power and men are regarded as disposable beings useful only for breeding purposes. Comic scenes result when four airmen arrive on the island and become the object of native womenfolk's desires.
