How the New Deal benefits African Americans. This version is prepared from the holdings of the National Archives. It is higher quality than the version in the Prelinger Collection as the source was 35mm with substantially less scratches and dirt. It does appear to be a bit dark, and perhaps loses some detail as a result. NAIL: 69.6 ARC: 12322

As far as we have been able to determine, this film is the first nationally distributed educational film to embrace the interaction of races and cultures in the United States. Ostensibly a child's film, it's the story of a boy in Minnesota who builds a toy boat and sends it on a journey southward along the Mississippi River. Meandering through scenery beautifully photographed by Barnes, the boat serves as a metaphor for the integration of the American cultures; the boat is found by a Chippewa...

A television special featuring lots of dancing. What else would you expect? Originally aired 24 April 1959. TV specials were common in the late-1950s. It is unfortunate that this copy is a bit low-resolution and lacks the original colours (does the colour version still exist?). It does however contain all of the original commercials: all two of them! Note: Although this TV special is public domain, the original music is still copyrighted.

From circa 1959, this is a fragment from an episode of "The Big Beat", a New York City local program that aired on WNEW. The existing fragment begins and ends very abruptly. This particular episode was hosted by a nervous Bobby Darin, and includes segments of teens dancing to records, contestants for a beauty contest, and commercials. If you decide to upload this to another website, I request that you make it clear that this is only a fragment and not a complete episode. I don't know...

Traces the racist roots of the gun control issue. Disarming the population is historically the way to create helpless oppressed peasant classes. Usually, it is also a prelude to systematic destruction of masses of "undesirable" people. It is really difficult to perpetrate genocide against armed people. Otherwise it is pretty easy. http://archive.org/details/GunControlExplained http://archive.org/details/ObamaCaughtInGunHoax...

Disturbing drama about the Ku Klux Klan and race starring Lee Marvin, Richard Burton, Cameron Mitchell, Lola Falana and Linda Evans. Directed by Terence Young (of James Bond (Dr. No & From Russia With Love) fame). Based on the novel by William Bradford Huie. This is probably the cut TV version of the movie.

Egypt Mother of Earth - By Hossam Ganby, There is evidence of rock carvings along the Nile terraces and in desert oases. In the 10th millennium BC, a culture of hunter-gatherers and fishers was replaced by a grain-grinding culture. Climate changes and/or overgrazing around 8000 BC began to desiccate the pastoral lands of Egypt, forming the Sahara. Early tribal peoples migrated to the Nile River where they developed a settled agricultural economy and more centralized society.[1]By about 6000 BC,...
