One of the early color near-nudie films and was re-shown often by, mostly, drive-in theatre owners in need of a quick cash fix. They would hang out the "Adults Only" sign, thereby ensuring that every high school and junior high boy (and more than a few dads) within an hour's drive would storm the gate, and turn on the popcorn machine and then hot-foot it to the night-deposit at the bank. Hank Henry is more than a little frustrated at the "lack of attention" he is getting at...

Goldilocks and The Three Bares  is a 1963  nudie-cutie  film from the legendary exploitation team of  Herschell Gordon Lewis  and  David F. Friedman . The title has absolutely nothing to do with the famous fable which inspired the title. Appropriately billed as the "first nudist musical" (not to be confused with  The First Nudie Musical , 1976), it has considerably more depth than their prior attempts at this genre. An old geezer recalls some of the antics of the men and women of his western town, more wild and woolly than Tombstone or Dodge City. In this town, no one is a good shot, the women are hungry for new meat, and practical jokers abound. A stranger strolls into town, proving resistant to the mayhem and, after donning some cowboy duds, begins cleaning up that town. This one actually has some decent production values. A real curiosity in the Buster Keaton canon: “The Misadventures of Buster Keaton” was a theatrical film cobbled together from episodes of “Life with Buster Keaton,” a very-early ‘50s US TV program. In it, he portrayed the owner of a sporting goods store who moonlighted as a community theater’s “managing director, leading man and star.”  “Misadventures” was released apparently only in Europe, as a means to capitalize on Keaton’s continuing popularity there. Many of the...
