A metaphor of creation. Spirals, circles, and abstract forms move against alternating dark and light backgrounds. An orb changes color, appearing in flash frames. Dots resembling stars or atoms and galaxies with shooting stars are created on the screen. The stars then order themselves into lines. Exploding sunbursts end the film. The film includes interference pattern imagery Belson created for the famous San Francisco Vortex Concerts (1959-1960). "I think of Allures as a combination of...

An old commercial, probably from 1965, for a skin cleanser called "Noxzema". This commercial is as average as a mid-1960's commercial can get. In other words, a standard, ordidary, run-of-the-mill skin-care commercial. Nothing special. At all.

A 1953 commercial for Lucky Strike cigarettes. Exactly how many commercials did they make for this product during the 1950s, anyway? Given that half-hour prime-time shows in those days featured only 2 or 3 commercial breaks (with each break consisting of a single commercial), I am amazed at how many Lucky Strike ads there are. It's like they can breed or something.
