"Following in the footsteps of the early propaganda cartoons of Disney, Fleischer, and Chuck Jones, this original, fully-animated look at the underbelly of Bush's economy juxtaposes a depression-era style with modern-day political rhetoric. Originally a "Best Animation" finalist in MoveOn.org's "Bush in 30 Seconds" contest, the commercial spot has been expanded to a seven minute short cartoon that tells the rest of the story of Melvin McBean and his family's struggle to...

Made in 2018 with music recorded in 1974. This music was provided on LP's and was played to the general public in shopping malls, supermarkets, clothing stores and just about any other retail related environment. I decided to remix these slightly to match the recent mall fascination people have developed thanks to various people such as Dan Bell, whom visits closing down American shopping malls and films the result. Most videos contain mall muzak in the background with an applied EQ and reverb....

A hybrid of documentary and fiction, this silent film explores the history of witchcraft, demonology and satanism. It shows representations of evil in a variety of ancient and medieval artworks, offers vignettes illustrating a number of superstitious practices and presents a narrative about the persecution of a woman accused of witchcraft. The film ends by suggesting that the modern science of psychology offers important insight into the beliefs and practices of the past.

We Drivers was released as part of an industry-wide safety campaign throughout the Thirties. Two years earlier, in 1934, the first driver training courses began in American schools, and the film was no doubt made to be shown to pioneering driver ed students. In 1936, the Automotive Safety Foundation was organized, funded jointly by car manufacturers, tire companies, the oil industry and insurance firms. As Ed Cray put it in Chrome Colossus: General Motors and Its Times (New York: McGraw-Hill,...

This longplay turret-turns to beat the game while losing a few lives and losing my power-ups! This game is...

One of the first cartoons made dedicated for the early TV market. In the 1960's animation was an expensive precess costing up to $2,500 a minute to produce. Space Angel cartoons were mostly storyboads where the only movement was the mouths of the characters(Syncro-Vox system). This animation style was similar to Clutch Cargo Cartoons! Space Angel was the code name of Scott McCloud, an agent for the Earth Bureau of Investigation. Devoted to the security and welfare of the solar system, McCloud...

ESCAPE In the Golden Days of Radio, back in the 1930s to the 1950s, most popular radio series had a set time for going out each week. Occasionally, there might be a change in the schedule, but on the whole a consistent time-slot was something that helped build a large audience and so was something the big networks aimed to achieve. One exception to this rule was the dramatic adventure anthology series called Escape , whose time-slot shifted an incredible eighteen times in its seven-year run...

X MINUS ONE X Minus One aired on NBC from 24 April 55 until 9 January 58 for a total of 124 episodes with one pilot or audition story. There was a revival of the series in 1973 when radio was attempting to bring back radio drama and it lasted until 1975. The show occupied numerous time slots through out its run in the 50's and thus was never able to generate a large following. X Minus One was an extension of Dimension X which aired on NBC from 1950-51. The first fifteen scripts used for X Minus...

DIMENSION X Dimension X was first heard on NBC April 8, 1950, and ran until September 29, 1951. Strange that so little good science fiction came out of radio; they seem ideally compatible, both relying heavily on imagination. Some fine isolated science fiction stories were developed on the great anthology shows, Suspense and Escape . But until the premiere of Dimension X -- a full two decades after network radio was established -- there were no major science fiction series of broad appeal to...

THE STRANGE DR. WEIRD The Strange Dr. Weird was a radio program broadcast on Mutual from 1944 to 1945. Many of the scripts were condensed 15 minute versions of scripts originally broadcast on The Mysterious Traveler . To the accompaniment of an organ. Spooky, strange Tarplin...

The sea ice around Antarctica grows dramatically from late February, when large parts of the coast are ice-free, to October, when the amount of sea ice effectively doubles the size of the continent. The SeaWinds Scatterometer instrument on the QuikSCAT satellite captures this dramatic ebb and flow and shows the sea ice as dynamic and always moving, even in areas that are ice-bound. This animation shows the sea ice around Antarctica from SeaWinds during 2004. SeaWinds can see individual icebergs...
