A murderous bank robber (Hugh Beaumont) on the run from the law hides out in a small town, where he gets a job as a cab driver. He meets a young girl (Frances Rafferty) who is caring for her ill but wealthy aunt. He courts her and they eventually marry. She soon discovers exactly who he is, and finds herself enmeshed in a scheme involving murder and loot from a bank robbery.

Another B-oater new to the Archive. This one starrs Bob Steele in the 4th of 5 westerns in which he played Billy the Kid as a hero. Steele is supported by a large cast of cowboy regulars including Al St. John (as Fuzzy). An okay series entry with a 6.8 IMDB rating. Directed by Sam Newfield (as Sherman Scott). Released in 1941. Complete print. a.k.a. "Billy the Kid Trails West". TRIVIA: First telecast 5 May 1945 on NYC's WNBT.
