*It rained during almost the entire second set. Before set 2 began, we put up
a small umbrella to protect the mics so rain is audible from time-to-time.

So one could say they have perked up my ears and I will do my darndest to shake the ole bones to a show or two this coming year... Great Spirit willing. We all know that nothing lasts forever and the time is now eh?!
The love continues........
Subject: THANK YOU, THANK YOU
This was the most energized I've EVER seen Phil, hands down ~ beaming on every song, every jam. (Standing in the Phil Zone right in front of him didn't hurt a bit...). Hadn't seen Lost Sailor for 25 years (as long as my brother had been waiting for his first), and didn't think I'd ever see On the Road Again. Powerhouse Bobby tunage in the first set. Very emotional Bird Song in the second, and wonderful jams. Russo, the drummer ~ sure hope they keep HIM, AND let him remain sole drummer. His chops really shined on the Terrapin Flyer (?) breaks, and Phil had enough confidence in him to approach the kit and speed up the tempo for Stephen right after it started (you can hear this on the tapes : ) This was a great, flowing unit.
Thanks SO MUCH for this great audience recording. I may very well buy the official Live Nation soundboard at some point, but I've always loved a great audience tape ~ that's what captures the dimension of actually being there, and brings it right back for those who were. Peace and cheers!
*so what are these P.E.R.R.O. tapes? We assumed Mountain Song was a new one!

I've been so drawn to this beautiful piece since discovering the P.E.R.R.O. sessions.
I cannot believe my ears. And what a heartfelt version played here.
there's a new song atop my wish-list for MSG in November - it might be a long shot for such a venue, but I can still hope.
So glad to hear they are still taking it FURTHUR!

All the Eugene heads came out of the woodwork - a beautiful sight. Oregon sunshine all through the second set. So glad they played at Cuthbert - a beautiful venue.
And now back to to Bird Song. It was at times jazzy, spacey, and ethereal. And the flow into UJB was so smooth and easy.
Thanks for the nice recording (and keeping your equipment up in the rain). Peace!
