Neumann U-89i's(set at approx. ORTF using Sub Card Setting)-V3-DR-680
Sennheiser MKH8050 (super Card's)- Beyer MV-100 Pre-Analog out to Dr-680
Phase inversion of Sennheiser source and stereo field adjustments using
Waves Stereo Image Plugin. I have included a picture of the Main
Tapersection and the location i set up. The main section was on the right
of the board. However, i set up at the back because there was a huge
relay tower complete with 2 sets of 4 Meyer Line Array Speakers and a
huge 10-25kw Sub.

Subject: Great night in Monterey
our 3 little girls who fell asleep on some blankets on the floor and we formed a circle to protect them.
Crazy fun and a great weekend in Monterey.
Subject: Very good mix
As for the show itself, it smoked the whole way through. Not one snoozer, aside from perhaps No More Do I. They pulled out all the stops for the final show of the tour. Check out the Viola!
Subject: Lesh Filling, Bass Great
Highlights for me were the Huge Viola Lee! Comes A Time. Help > Slip > The Eleven! Throwing Stones. Shakedown Street. The vocals in the second set were amazing. Sunshine was trippin' on Help On The Way... Yeeeahhhw bum de du bump... Truckin' was awesome, too. Great version.
If the lead guitar was louder people would not have as much fun. The mix was perfect. It accentuated the musicianship of all these amazing musicians, not just the guy from the Dead cover band.
Chimenti and Russo are outstanding musicians and placed perfectly in the mix.
Anyway, I can't stop listening to these recordings. GREAT JOB! and thanks for the quick posting. hope to see y'all new years eve.
Subject: Tour sounds great! But John needs to turn up!
Subject: Thanks for the Praise
Every time the crowd cheers for no apparent reason (besides Bob forgetting the lyrics, it was because jets were constantly flying low over the arena, due to the proximity of the airport. Didn't see any jets at all on Friday though...)
Subject: Thanks a bunch Pat
Subject: TWO in a ROW!
Subject: Best So Far
To anyone having doubts about John, let me explain a few things; I've noticed that it takes him a long time to get to the point, his playing is much more reserved and more subtle than Jerry's, but given the right ingredients than man can transport just as well as Jerry could.
As, for the band I couldn't be happier, it stands on its own two feet, no need to compare them to the dead. Like the Dead some nights their on, others not so much, but isn't this why we love them and keep going back?
