DESCRIPTION
The Gannon University Archives, situated in the Nash Library, primarily consists of materials related to the governance and administration of the University, its academic divisions, administrative units, and the life of the faculty, staff, and student body since its inception in 1925. Various documents, University, student, and faculty publications including yearbooks and newspapers, books, clippings, and photographs that feature Gannon University (formerly known as Cathedral College, The Gannon School of Arts & Sciences, Gannon College), and Erie, Pennsylvania's Villa Maria College who merged with Gannon in 1989, its faculty, staff, and students make up the majority of the collection. Carefully selected artifacts and memorabilia of Gannon and its community which relate to the life of the University and have significant display value are also collected.
