Subject: Not the browser or the OS or the player...
I'm able to stream some of your sources, and those have .m3u's following this format. The ones I have trouble with (and so far I've only seen this on some of your sources and no others) use relative links like this:
#EXTINF:771,Grateful Dead - Drums>
This causes the media player to look for files locally instead of archive's servers. The streaming links may be working for you because they're actually accessing your local files and not streaming over the internet, not because of any issues having to do with OS, browser, what have you.
What's odd is when I copy and paste the .m3u's URL into any media player, including Winamp, it plays without problem. It's only when I click on the link that it doesn't work.
Something seems to be causing your more recent uploads to have .m3u's with relative links rather than absolute ones generated. If that can be figured out, I don't think there will be any more problem.
