Harpeth Hall

Harpeth Hall School is an independent college preparatory school for young women in grades 5-12 in Nashville, TN. Founded in 1865 as Ward Seminary, the school merged with Belmont College in 1913 to become Ward-Belmont College. The closing of Ward-Belmont led to the creation of Harpeth Hall, which relocated to a new campus in 1951. The collection is maintained by the Harpeth Hall Archives and showcases the school's long history of excellence in women's education.

The digital collections archived here include yearbooks (1897-1977), course catalogs (1913-1951), and other school periodicals. These works reflect the time of their creation and as such provide historical and cultural data. They may contain content that is no longer representative of the attitudes and policies of The Harpeth Hall School.
